Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Muhammad Abdulla Abunaiyan

Today 16 November, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of ACWA Power Company Muhammad Abdulla Abunayyan within the framework of the first meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors.

Issues of implementation of current projects and prospects of further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed at the meeting.

The head of state highly appreciated the company’s contribution to the implementation of energy infrastructure modernization and renewable energy development projects in various regions of our country.

The importance of involving the company’s investments in the development of hydrogen energy, the construction of wind power plants, and the training of highly qualified national personnel with the participation of foreign experts was noted.

Muhammad Abdulla Abunayyan said that the company is ready to expand long-term and large-scale cooperation with Uzbekistan, as well as to actively participate in the next meeting of the Uzbekistan-Saudi Business Council in Tashkent in the first quarter of next year.
