Shavkat Mirziyoyev expresses his condolences to Erdogan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan sent a letter of condolence to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in connection with the loss of many lives as a result of traffic accidents in the provinces of Mardin and Gaziantep of Turkey.  This was reported by president’s press secretary Sherzod Assadov.

"Our Head of State expressed his condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased and wished the injured a fast recovery," – the report said.

It should be recalled that on 20 August, a major traffic accident occurred in the city of Gaziantep in southern Turkey.

Sixteen people were killed, including three firefighters, four medical personnel, and two journalists.

It was later reported that a car accident involving four cars had occurred in the Mardin region of south-eastern Turkey.

It was reported that 16 people were killed and 29 were injured in the accident.  According to the latest data, the number of deaths reached 20 and the number of injured reached 30.
