20831Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva has been entrusted with another important responsibility in the field of social welfare. As the First Deputy Director of the National Agency for Social Protection and youngest daughter of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, she has been tasked with coordinating efforts to provide quality education and reintegrate children with disabilities and those deprived of parental care into family environments. This decision was announced on December 13 during a videoconference led by the President, focusing on social protection and key priorities for 2025.
This year, significant progress was made in this area, with 300 children from orphanages and children’s homes returning to family settings. However, challenges remain, as 500 children are still in need of reintegration. To address this, relevant agencies have been directed to facilitate the placement of these children in family orphanages, drawing on the successful model implemented by the National Guard.
Additionally, the list of schools dedicated to housing and educating unsupervised and neglected children will be restructured. A 5% quota will be allocated for these children, who will be placed in these schools based on referrals from the Social Protection Agency.
The videoconference also highlighted Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva's earlier assignment to oversee the production of at least five motivational documentary and feature films in 2025. These films will spotlight the resilience and achievements of individuals with disabilities.
During the meeting, Deputy Prosecutor General Isroil Adhamov was directed to enforce strict measures against those failing to improve conditions for people with disabilities. Similarly, Mansurbek Olloyorov, Director of the Social Protection Agency, Hilola Umarova, Minister of Preschool and School Education, and Kungratbay Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, were tasked with implementing related measures in their respective domains.
