On the site of the hill «Qo’y-Tepa», located in the Dostlik neighborhood of the Pastdargom district of the Samarkand region, a military fortification, dating from III-II centuries B.C was found.  This was reported by the press service of the district administration.

It is noted that at present there is a scientific expedition by Italian and Samarkand archaeologists. In the course of scientific research, scientists have uncovered unique finds, such as the walls of the fortress, a large jug, a cup, a small statuette, and a seal.  According to scientists, this historical site was a military fortification, protecting from external enemies.

It is noted that the district administration expressed its readiness to provide the necessary material and moral support to scientists in the process of scientific research.  In particular, the administration undertook to protect the hill from external influences, including rain and snow, by installing an iron fence on the historic site enclosing it completely.
