Saida Mirziyoyeva appointed Head of the Presidential Administration

By presidential decree, the structure of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been revised, and the position of Head of the Presidential Administration has been reinstated. This was announced by the press service of the President.

According to the decree, Saida Shavkatovna Mirziyoyeva has been appointed as the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Saida Mirziyoyeva was born on November 4, 1984, in Kokand. She is a graduate of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and Tashkent State University of Law, and holds a master’s degree from Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Between 2019 and 2020, she served as Deputy Director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Presidential Administration. Since 2020, she has held the position of Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Public Fund for Support and Development of Mass Media. She has also been a member of the Commission on Gender Equality since 2019.

It is noteworthy that the position of Head of the Presidential Administration was previously abolished in August 2023. Sardor Umurzakov, who had held the post since July 2022, was dismissed and later appointed as the President’s Advisor on Special Assignments.

Until her new appointment, Saida Mirziyoyeva served as the Head of the Department for Communications and Information Policy within the Executive Office of the Presidential Administration and held the role of Presidential Assistant.
