Uzbeks in Russia were warned against participating in military conflicts

The Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazan has once again issued a warning to its citizens against participating in military operations in foreign countries. This information was conveyed by the press service of the Consulate General.

In the statement, the Consulate General emphasized that, according to the citizenship laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, individuals who are citizens cannot be recognized as citizens of another country. Upon the announcement of a Presidential Decree, citizenship of the Republic will be revoked.

Furthermore, it is important to note that under Article 154 (Recruitment) of the Criminal Code, illegal participation in armed conflicts or military operations on foreign soil is considered a crime. Those found guilty of such actions could face imprisonment for up to 10 years.

The Consulate General also warned that any individuals with concrete information regarding illegal acts outlined in the aforementioned article of the Criminal Code will be prosecuted without exception.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the Foreign Labor Migration Agency recently reported issues faced by Uzbeks working as couriers in Russia, who have encountered difficulties delivering products for significant sums of money through advertisements on the Internet.
