The consular offices of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation have reported cases where Uzbek citizens submitted forged documents to these institutions. As a result, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has issued a warning to citizens residing in Russia.

According to available information, advertisements offering the preparation of various fake documents from Uzbekistan and other countries have been widely circulating in virtual groups and channels on the Telegram mobile application.

Due to the activities of such criminal groups, a citizen identified as E.M.R. obtained a forged “Certificate of Return to Homeland.” However, during the process of purchasing a ticket to Uzbekistan, the document’s falsity was discovered. Thanks to the prompt actions of Uzbekistan’s Consulate General in Kazan, the citizen was prevented from committing crimes under Articles 322 (Illegal Crossing of the State Border of the Russian Federation) and 327 (Forgery, Production, or Sale of False Documents, State Awards, Stamps, Seals, or Forms) of the Russian Criminal Code.

Similarly, another citizen, O.B.B., arranged a fake marriage certificate with a person identified as Kh.M.A. and, on that basis, obtained a falsified “Birth Certificate” for their child, O.M.B., from the Civil Registry Office (ZAGS) of the Russian Federation.

“The Ministry strongly urges citizens of Uzbekistan residing in Russia not to fall for advertisements on social networks offering ‘document preparation services.’ When processing documents, please contact only the authorized government institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This will help you avoid fraud and unpleasant situations,” the statement said.

Earlier, Uzbek truck drivers working in Russia were also warned after many of them were added to the “entry ban list” of the Russian Interior Ministry.
