Uzbek national suspected of raping 15-year-old girl detained in Russia

Police officers in the Russian city of St. Petersburg have detained an Uzbek national suspected of raping a 15-year-old schoolgirl. This was reported by “78.ru” with reference to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The rape of the schoolgirl occurred on the evening of May 31 of this year. The 49-year-old Uzbek national is said to have taken the girl from a playground on Kustodiev Street. The girl’s father reported her missing to the police.

The schoolgirl was found the next morning on Rudnev Street and taken to the hospital. Doctors found injuries on her neck. After the examination, the victim was sent home.

According to the girl, the migrant committed sexual violence against her. According to the publication, this person was previously convicted of making threats to kill, but the criminal case against him was dropped.

It should be recalled that earlier in St. Petersburg, Russia, an Uzbek man was arrested on suspicion of raping a woman. A criminal case was opened against him under Article 131 (rape) of the Russian Criminal Code.
