The presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkey Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Khiva (Khorezm region) accompanied by the First Ladies Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and Emina Erdoğan.
The presidents and their wives were solemnly welcomed at Urgench airport.
On arrival, the two leaders and accompanying delegations visited the historical-memorial complex «Ichan-Kala» and a welcoming ceremony was held in accordance with Turkish traditions.
