Presidential Decree: Privileges will be given to family members of fallen soldiers

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a Decree "On measures to strengthen social support for family members of servicemen and employees who died in the defense of the Motherland and the peace of our country." 

According to the document, the families of the fallen servicemen of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Guard, the State Security Service, the State Security Service of the President, the Customs Committee and the Center for the Development of Electronic Technologies, as well as their dependents will gain certain privileges and guarantees.

In particular, starting from 1 April 2023, family members of the deceased military serviceman (employee) will receive a one-time allowance in the amount of 150 times the sum of the salary of the deceased at their last position and the salary of the military (special) rank.

The family of a deceased military serviceman is paid 200 times the sum of insurance under the state's compulsory personal insurance.

To the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, and Tashkent city governors in the amounts determined by them (not exceeding 50% of the minimum wage) from the additional sources of local budgets of deceased military servicemen (employees) family members living in the relevant area were given the right to determine the procedure for assigning monthly allowances.
