An Uzbek citizen engaged in human trafficking was arrested in Russia

7560An individual from Uzbekistan wanted in another jurisdiction, was apprehended on suspicion of involvement in human trafficking in Kirov, Russia. The regional branch of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs disclosed this information.
Authorities from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs received a tip about a person born in 2003 who had fled to Russia from Bukhara, Uzbekistan. This individual had been indicted in absentia for human trafficking under Article 135 of the Criminal Code in Uzbekistan.
Russian law enforcement located and detained the young man, who confessed to being wanted for "selling a girl." He is slated for extradition to Uzbekistan.
Previously, in the Svobodnensky district of the Amur region in Russia, police detained another Uzbek national born in 1993.
