Illegally installed ATMs to be dismantled

Illegally installed ATMs in Uzbekistan will be dismantled, officials announced on March 24 during a press conference at the Cadastre Agency. The announcement was made by Mirsaid Mirmaksudov, Deputy Director of the agency.  

According to Mirmaksudov, efforts to regulate the illegal installation of ATMs are ongoing and will continue in cooperation with the Central Bank.  

"I do not have exact figures on how many ATMs have been dismantled so far. However, this work is being carried out on a regular basis. The Central Bank or commercial banks can also confirm this," he stated.  

Authorities have also emphasized that measures are being strengthened to identify and remove ATMs installed in violation of legal requirements.
