Explosion occurred at a gas station in Namangan, leaving one dead (video)

On October 25, an explosion took place at a gas station in the Chust district of Namangan region, resulting in the death of one person, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

According to the ministry, the incident occurred at around 18:47 on October 25, when the 112 emergency system received a report about a flash explosion at a non-operational gas station located in the “Birlik” neighborhood of the Chust district.

“Three fire and rescue units arrived at the scene. No fire broke out. The flash occurred due to non-compliance with fire safety rules during the relocation of a 10-ton fuel storage tank,” the ministry’s statement said.

It was reported that a worker employed as a welder died as a result of the explosion. The causes of the incident and the amount of damage are currently being investigated.

It is worth noting that on August 13 of this year, an explosion occurred at a gas station in the Shurchi district of Surkhandarya region, and on September 5, a fire broke out at a gas station in the Andijan district of Andijan region.
