Mirziyoyev’s state visit to France concludes

2193The state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of France has concluded. This was reported by the President’s press service.
During his visit, the Head of State held fruitful negotiations with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.
At the end of the summit, a joint declaration was adopted, establishing strategic partnership relations between the two countries. In addition, a comprehensive set of agreements on various areas of cooperation was signed.
President Mirziyoyev also participated in a roundtable discussion with the heads of leading French companies, banks, and organizations. As a result, a cooperation program in the fields of investment and innovation was adopted, outlining specific projects valued at 6.5 billion euros.
In recognition of his significant contribution to strengthening bilateral relations, the President of Uzbekistan was awarded France’s highest honor, the Order of the Legion of Honor.
Throughout the visit, President Mirziyoyev held meetings with key officials, including the Speaker of the French National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, and the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo. A special ceremony was held to commemorate the naming of a street in Paris after Samarkand.
The President also met with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay to discuss the prospects for further cooperation, as well as preparations for the 43rd session of the General Conference of UNESCO, which will be held in Samarkand.
Upon completing his visit, President Mirziyoyev was seen off at Orly International Airport by French Minister of Sports and Youth Marie Barsac and other officials.
