Mirziyoyev met with the President of the Council of Europe

The President of the Council of Europe Charles Michel visited Uzbekistan on 27 October.  This morning, 28 October, a high-ranking guest went to the New Uzbekistan park and laid a wreath at the base of the Independence Monument.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed Charles Michel at the "Koksaroy" residence.  They took a picture together, then high-level negotiations began.

At the narrow meeting, urgent issues of further expansion of multilateral cooperation were discussed, and opinions were exchanged on the international and regional agenda.

An agreement was reached on the continuation of joint work on the expansion of practical cooperation to support the implementation of democratic renewal and economic reforms in the country, first of all, in the fields of innovations, a "green" economy, and digitization.

In addition, it was agreed to prepare a "roadmap" for the implementation of proposals and initiatives put forward by Uzbekistan at the "Central Asia-EU" summit.
