Mirziyoyev met with Omani Minister

On June 11, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Omani Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion, Qais bin Muhammad al-Yusuf, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum. The meeting was reported by the Presidential Press Service.
At the beginning of the meeting, Qais bin Muhammad al-Yusuf conveyed warm greetings from the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, to the Head of State. The sides discussed the expansion of practical cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade, economy, and investment.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the active dialogue underway at various levels. It was noted that the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and sessions with business communities would be held as part of the forum.
Special attention was given to the importance of promoting joint projects in sectors such as energy, geology, food production, textiles, the chemical industry, transport and logistics, tourism, and finance. This includes initiatives supported by the Uzbekistan-Oman Investment Company.
It is worth noting that approximately 8,000 delegates—including about 3,000 foreign participants from nearly 100 countries—are expected to take part in the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
