On 24 August, president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari.  Verses of the Koran and duaa were read.  This is reported by the press service of the president.

“This site is being reconstructed in such a way that is worthy of the high respect of our great muhaddis grandfather in the Muslim world.  A mausoleum, a huge mosque, minarets, and a porch are being built," - the report said.

The president became acquainted with the construction progress.

“We discussed this project a lot and revived it again and again.  We do not have to rush to build it.  It is necessary to create all conditions, both in terms of pilgrimage and worship,” - Shavkat Mirziyoyev says.

The Head of State proposed creating an electronic museum of the life of Imam Bukhari next to the complex.

“Recently, when we were in the city of Madinah, we saw the symbolic face of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) and the museum of Islamic civilization.  It would be nice if we could have a museum like this here.  It shows the life of our ancestor Imam Bukhari, the way of knowledge, and the history of that time through information technology.  They remain vividly in the imagination of young people and foreign tourists.  The museum will become another spiritual treasure for our people," - the head of state said.

The Ministry of Information Technology and Communications Development and the Ministry of Construction have been instructed to prepare a project in this regard.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev went to Hazrat Hizr Complex and visited the Mausoleum of first President Islam Karimov.
