Uzbekistan-France negotiations set to begin in Paris

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Paris on a state visit at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, as reported by the Presidential Press Service.

Upon arrival, the Uzbek leader was welcomed at the airport by France’s Minister of National Education, Higher Education, and Research, former Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne, Paris Military District Commander General Loïc Mizon, and other officials.

At Orly International Airport, the flags of both nations were raised, and an honor guard was assembled in tribute to the distinguished guest.

Outside the delegation’s residence, a group of Uzbek citizens studying, working, and conducting research in France greeted President Mirziyoyev with great enthusiasm.

The main events of the visit are scheduled for today, March 12.

According to the program, high-level Uzbekistan-France negotiations will take place at the Élysée Palace. Additionally, the President will meet with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay and hold a roundtable discussion with representatives of France’s leading companies and banks.

Earlier, it was reported that the President had departed for Paris.
