Mirziyoyev departs Qatar for the United States

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has concluded his working visit to the State of Qatar, the presidential press service reported.
During the visit, the President participated in the Second World Summit on Social Development, where he proposed a number of important initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable and inclusive social development and strengthening global partnerships to enhance socio-economic progress.
President Mirziyoyev also held productive talks with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha.

At Hamad International Airport, the Uzbek President was seen off by Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, along with other officials.

Following an invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump, President Mirziyoyev departed for Washington to participate in the “C5+1” summit of Central Asian countries and U.S. leaders.
According to the visit program, President Mirziyoyev will hold meetings with U.S. President Donald Trump, members of the Senate and House of Representatives, and heads of U.S. ministries and agencies.
The discussions are expected to focus on further expanding and strengthening strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and the United States, particularly in trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian spheres, as well as deepening U.S.-Central Asia regional cooperation.
Within the framework of the business program, meetings and events are planned with leaders of leading U.S. companies and financial institutions.
The visit is expected to conclude with the adoption of a series of bilateral and multilateral agreements.
