Mirziyoyev is visiting Azerbaijan today

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will visit Azerbaijan on July 5-6 at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. This was reported by the President's press service.

The head of state will participate in the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States on "Building a Sustainable Future by Combating Transport Interdependence and Climate Change," to be held in Shusha.

During the summit, issues of further expanding multilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of trade and economy, transport and communication, and investment and finance, as well as the "green" economy, renewable energy, climate change mitigation, and human capital development, will be discussed.

Heads of delegations will also consider current issues of international and regional importance.

Several joint documents are expected to be adopted at the end of the event.

It was reported that the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, canceled his participation in the summit of the Organization of Turkic States and planned to personally attend the quarter-final match of the European Football Championship between Turkey and the Netherlands, which will be held in Berlin on July 6.
