Reports have emerged on social media that a letter was posted on the gate of a container house recently occupied by the mayor of Norin district in Namangan region, following the President’s visit. The attached photo includes the content of the letter.

’’Respected Mayor Jorabek Nurmatov, due to your decision, we have been left without a family home. My mother passed away wandering and suffering. I am married, and my younger brother is still homeless, unable to marry or serve his country. We hope that one day you will return to your home, while we have been unable to do so for 13 years. Best regards, Qoldosheva Salima,’’ the letter reads.

The Norin district administration responded to the letter on September 24. According to the statement, a working group conducted an investigation regarding the citizen’s letter. The applicant, Salima Qoldosheva, was met in person, and the reasons for writing the letter were clarified.

It was revealed that Salima Qoldosheva had not previously applied to the district mayor or the district administration regarding her existing problems. Her appeal, as noted above, has now been thoroughly reviewed. Currently, measures are being taken by the district mayor to provide practical assistance to Salima Qoldosheva, including registering her in the ’’Women’s register.’’

’’Since his brother A. Qoldoshev is currently abroad, he spoke via video link with the neighborhood youth leader, and it was reported that measures are being taken within 10 days to return him from migration and place him in a suitable job,’’ the report stated.

It is also worth noting that earlier, the Namangan regional administration reported that the governor had moved into a container house, with a photo of the container house attached to the report.

However, on social media, it can be seen that the house reportedly moved into by the governor is not the container house. Additionally, the photos show that the house is surrounded by a fenced enclosure.

On September 16 of this year, during his visit to the Namangan region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev unexpectedly entered the Shurariq neighborhood in Norin district. The unplanned visit clearly revealed the difficult conditions in the neighborhood. More than 5,000 people live there, including 62 poor families, 118 unemployed individuals, and 157 residents working abroad for labor migration purposes. While inspecting dusty and empty houses, the President also listened to the residents’ views on local problems. Furthermore, officials were instructed to transform the neighborhood into a model area. During discussions with the residents, the President stated that both the name and appearance of the neighborhood would change. While giving instructions to the officials, Mirziyoyev emphasized that ’’if necessary, the district governor should stay here.’’
