The fee for foreign doctors on working in Uzbekistan is reduced

The fee for working in Uzbekistan for highly qualified doctors and other foreigners who are not qualified specialists has been reduced. This is stated in the decree of the president of Uzbekistan, which was adopted yesterday, 11 April, «On measures to create additional facilities for the private sector in the field of medicine and support the field personnel».

The decree states that:

• for doctors with the citizenship from another foreign country who are highly qualified or not qualified specialists, the fee for issuing a certificate from a place of work in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be reduced by 6 times and charged at the rate of 5 times of the Basic Calculation Amount;
• foreign specialists arriving in the Republic of Uzbekistan for a short period (up to one month), with the intention to conduct medical diagnostic practices, exchange programs, seminars and lectures, train the personnel, will be required no certificate of the right to work in the territory of Uzbekistan;
• tourist (hotel) charges levied by medical institutions on foreign citizens and stateless persons without permanent residence in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be abolished;
• The requirement of certification of tourist services for medical institutions (except sanatoriums and boarding houses) will be repealed. In this case, the registration of visitors will be carried out electronically by medical institutions through a special automated program.
