7043It became known that the chairman of the Khanabad court received a bribe of 30 thousand dollars. Earlier, it was reported that the chairman of the Khanabad city court for criminal cases of Andijan region, Yu.E., is suspected of corruption. The press service of the Supreme Court provided additional information on this case.
It is noted that at the meeting of the Plenum of the Supreme Court, the Prosecutor General's proposal to bring the chairman of the Khanabad city court for criminal cases, Yu.E., to criminal liability under Article 168 (Fraud) Part 4, Clause "a" and Article 28,211 (Bribery) Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code and to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention against him was considered and approved.
According to the proposal, the chairman of the Khanabad city court for criminal cases, Yu.E., was caught at an event held by law enforcement officers while promising to reduce the term of imprisonment previously imposed by another court and receiving $30,000 from the mother of a convicted person.
“It should be noted that the Supreme Court is taking all necessary measures to combat corruption in the judiciary and cleanse the system of corrupt personnel,” the report says.
It is noted that, first of all, attention is paid to preventing improper and inappropriate behavior among judges and employees, as well as identifying judges and employees who have committed corruption, and taking strict measures against them.
We recall that last month, a person who worked as the head of the archives of the Higher School of Judges was caught receiving $5,000 through acquaintances in exchange for canceling the part of the punishment imposed on a previously convicted person, which involved deprivation of certain rights.
