To oversee construction planning, the Ministry of Construction has initiated the establishment of a Project Office. This decision was disclosed during a presidentially chaired meeting focusing on priorities in housing, construction, communal economy, transport, and ecology.
It is emphasized that for projects exceeding 10 billion soums, the office collaborates with designers to assess compliance with safety and energy efficiency standards, while ensuring costs are not artificially inflated. Additionally, the office aims to develop 2-3 model projects annually in key sectors like education, healthcare, roads, water, and heat supply.
Henceforth, project documents lacking the Project Office's recommendation will be ineligible for state examination. Officials are directed to revamp 105 outdated construction standards based on international best practices.
The Prosecutor General's Office is assigned the responsibility of establishing a system to eradicate the underground economy across all processes, from extracting construction materials to delivering the final product to consumers.
Furthermore, tasks were outlined to enforce the procurement procedure for all budget-related purchases through the Tax Committee's "Ye-Ombor" platform and to initiate an electronic platform for the classification of construction materials.
