Avalanche risk announced: Uzhydromet issues urgent warning

Due to expected precipitation and fluctuations in air temperatures from February 5 to 9, there is a risk of avalanches in the mountainous regions of the country, Uzhydromet has warned.
- The avalanche risk applies to the following areas:
- Kashkadarya region: Dehkanabad, Kitab, Kamashi and Shakhrisabz districts;
- Surkhandarya region: Boysun, Kumkurgan, Sariosiyo and Uzun districts;
- Samarkand region: Nurobod, Koshrobot, Samarkand and Urgut districts;
- Jizzakh region: Bakhmal and Zomin districts;
- Tashkent region: Bostanlyk, Parkent and Ohangaron districts (Chatkal mountain range);
- Namangan region: Pop district.
Residents of mountainous areas, tourists, and drivers traveling through mountainous regions are urged to exercise caution and take necessary safety measures.
