Taxi driver sexually assaults an underage passenger in Kashkadarya

A taxi driver sexually assaulted a female passenger in the Kashkadarya region. This was reported by the "Nemolchi" project.

It is noted that on October 26 of this year, a minor girl went for a walk with her friend and wanted to return home by taxi. On the way, the taxi driver started asking the girl various personal questions, then turned off the designated route. The taxi driver said that in response to the girl's question "where are we going", he decided to take her for a walk. He took the girl outside the city, stopped the car, took the girl's phone, and sexually assaulted her.

“I screamed as loud as I could, but he didn't stop. In response to my resistance, he held back a little. Then I asked him not to touch me, and if he stopped at any place, I would reach my home. He said he would take me to the city. When we got closer to the city, he gave me my phone back and told me that we should remain friends," says the resident.

The victim immediately reported the incident to the law enforcement agencies and gave the man's car number.

"According to the requirements of the procedural norms, the victim again turned to the law enforcement officers to write a statement, but they said that there was no need to write a statement and sent the girl home again. It has been 10 days since the incident occurred and the law enforcement authorities were contacted. The attacker has not yet been found, the victim's statement has not been accepted by law enforcement agencies, and a forensic examination has not been appointed," the report said.
