The regulation on the appointment of unemployment benefits is approved

The regulation on the appointment of unemployment benefits has been approved by the order of the Minister of Poverty Reduction and Employment. This regulation pertains to the provision of electronic state services for recognizing individuals as unemployed and allocating unemployment benefits to them.

According to this regulation, the public service will be provided by the district and city departments of the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment through the Unified Interactive Public Services Portal.

Within ten days, an unemployed citizen must approach the local labor authority or a representative of the local labor authority to receive a suitable job offer.

The local labor authority will send a QR code notification to the applicant, indicating whether the decision has been made to recognize them as unemployed and grant them unemployment benefits or if their recognition as unemployed has been rejected.

According to Article 45 of the "Law on Employment of the Population," the following individuals cannot be recognized as unemployed:

•    Persons who have rejected an acceptable job offer twice within ten days from the date of registering as a job seeker without a valid reason.
•     Individuals who fail to approach the local labor authority within ten days from the date of registering as a job seeker to receive an acceptable job offer without a valid reason.
•    People who are currently studying in educational institutions and organizations, separated from production, and those who are studying part-time.
•    Those entitled to pension provisions as per the law, regardless of the type of pension they receive.
•    Women who are caring for a child until the child reaches two years old and are not engaged in employment.
•    Individuals who wish to change their job but, at the time of registration with local labor authorities, are already working in organizations or are registered in their state, regardless of their organizational and legal form.
•    Those who have been sentenced to imprisonment in the form of correctional work by a court verdict.
•    Heads and employees of farms, participants of family enterprises, heads, and members of farms, as well as individual entrepreneurs.
•    Self-employed individuals.
