Sherzodjon Polvanov was appointed deputy governor of Fergana region

Sherzodjon Polvanov has been appointed as the new deputy governor of the Fergana region, focusing on youth policy, social development, and spiritual and educational work. This was announced by the regional administration.

Polvanov previously served as the head of the department within the Association of Neighborhoods of Uzbekistan, tasked with ensuring neighborhood well-being and organizing spiritual and educational activities. Born in 1987 in Rishton district, he holds degrees from the Fergana Polytechnic Institute and the Russian Academy of National Economy and State Administration.

His career began in 2009 as a specialist in the Fergana Regional Government. Over the years, he has held various leadership roles, including chairman of the Fergana city council of the "Kamolot" youth social movement, deputy mayor of Fergana, and head of the representative office of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency in Novosibirsk, Russia. He has also been honored with the "Shuhrat" medal.

It is worth noting that Sherzod Rahimov had previously held this deputy governor position since March of this year.
