Some roads in Tashkent will be closed tomorrow

4938On April 10, Eid prayers are expected to take place in 125 mosques across Tashkent for Ramadan celebrations. Consequently, certain streets in the capital will experience temporary closures to motor vehicle traffic, as reported by the city's HDIA.
To ensure a well-organized Eid prayer and the safety of citizens, motor vehicle traffic will be temporarily halted on specific streets and roads in Tashkent from midnight until 7:30 a.m. on April 10. Here are the affected areas:
- Mirzo Ulugbek district: Closure in front of the "Tora Buva" mosque, on Buyuk Ipak Yoli street - Shortepa Street, and Buyuk Ipak Yoli - Sultoniya Street.
- Bektemir district: Closure on Bektemir Avenue in front of the "Khoton" mosque.
- Olmazor district: Closure on KXAY street in front of the "Islomobod" mosque, and near "Hazrati Imom" mosque.
- Sheikhontohur district: Closure near "Sheikh Zayniddin" mosque and "Khoja Alambardar" mosque.
- Chilonzor district: Closure on Al-Khorazmi street and Chilonzor streets.
- Uchtepa District: Closure on Lutfiy street and near "Hazrati Ali" mosque.
- Yunusobod District: Closure on KXAY street and Bogishamol street.
- Yakkasaray district: Closure on KXAY street and near "Usmon bin Mazun" mosque.
- Yashnobod District: Closure on Fergana road and Cholpon street.
- Mirobod district: Closure on TXAY street near "Qoyliq Ota" mosque.
Additionally, motor vehicle movement will be restricted on other streets with mosques. Citizens are advised by the HDIA to use alternative routes.
It's noteworthy that yesterday, April 8, the Cabinet of Ministers convened a meeting to ensure a peaceful Eid-ul-Fitr celebration. On the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr, April 10, all public transport in the republic will operate freely from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Furthermore, the Tashkent metro will offer free service to passengers from 04:00 to 10:00 on April 10. Starting from today, April 9, at 5:00 p.m. until tomorrow, April 10, at 5:00 p.m., entry of trucks into Tashkent and truck movement within the city will be completely restricted.
