Erdoğan welcomes Shavkat Mirziyoyev with an official ceremony (video)

Today, January 29, an official welcoming ceremony for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was held at the Presidential Complex (Aksaray) in Ankara, the press service of the Uzbek leader reported.

According to the statement, the President of Uzbekistan was welcomed by President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

A guard of honor was lined up in the square in honor of the high-level guest. Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ascended the podium, where the national anthems of both countries were performed by a military orchestra. The leaders then inspected the guard of honor and greeted members of the official delegations.

At present, the heads of state are holding closed-door talks. The sides are discussing issues related to the further development and strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

Earlier, it was reported that Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Ankara on an official visit together with his spouse. The high-level guests were welcomed at Esenboğa International Airport by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his spouse.
