Very strong winds are expected in some parts of Uzbekistan today, May 18, Uzhydromet reported.
According to the agency, wind speeds may increase to 13-18 metres per second in some areas across the country during the day. In parts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Bukhara, Navoi and Surkhandarya regions, winds may occasionally reach 20-22 metres per second and be accompanied by dust storms.
In the capital, wind speeds may rise to 10-12 metres per second, with dust storms possible in some areas.
