What will the weather be like in December?

In the first ten days, nighttime temperatures will mostly range from 0 to 5 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will be between 10 and 15 degrees. In the second and third ten-day periods, temperatures will fluctuate sharply: nighttime temperatures will vary from 2–7 degrees above zero down to 0–5 degrees, and daytime temperatures from 12–17 degrees down to 2–7 degrees. Monthly precipitation is expected to be around or slightly below normal.

January is expected to be generally close to normal, though slightly colder in some regions. In the first and second ten-day periods, temperatures will vary within a wide range: nighttime temperatures will fluctuate from 3–8 degrees above zero to 3–8 degrees below zero, while daytime temperatures will range from 10–15 degrees down to between 2 degrees below zero and 3 degrees above zero. In the third ten-day period, anomalous cold is expected: in most regions nighttime temperatures will drop to 12–17 degrees below zero, daytime temperatures to 5–10 degrees below zero, and in the areas around Nukus and Urgench, nighttime temperatures may fall as low as 20–25 degrees below zero.

February is expected to be near the long-term average. Anomalous cold will continue in the first ten-day period, with nighttime temperatures of 5–10 degrees below zero and daytime temperatures ranging from 3 degrees below zero to 2 degrees above zero. In the second and third ten-day periods, temperatures will warm significantly: nighttime temperatures will range from 2–7 degrees below zero up to 3–8 degrees above zero, while daytime temperatures will rise from 0–5 degrees to 10–15 degrees. In southern regions, daytime temperatures may reach 15–20 degrees. Precipitation is expected to remain within normal limits.
