Youth chess players from Uzbekistan won the 2nd place at the World Chess Olympiad

The World Junior Chess Olympiad, hosted by the city of Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan, has ended. The representatives of Uzbekistan, who participated in the competition in two teams, were among the winners.

The national team of Uzbekistan-1 recorded 7 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss during nine rounds and took 2nd place with 15 points.  The Uzbekistan-2 national team took 7th place with 11 points.

For information, representatives of Turkey won the World Junior Chess Olympiad with 18 points.  The Azerbaijan-1 national team, which scored 13 points, led the top three.
