Former governor of Bukhara was appointed to a new position

Jamol Nosirov has been named the head of the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change for the Bukhara Region, according to the regional government's press service.

Jamol Nosirov, born in 1985 in Bukhara, completed his studies at Bukhara State University in 2005 and again in 2008.

Prior to his tenure as the mayor of Bukhara, Nosirov held the positions of first deputy minister of culture and deputy governor of the Bukhara region. Between 2015 and 2017, he was a deputy in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

It is worth noting that Nosirov, who served as the mayor of Bukhara for three years starting in 2021, was relieved of his duties in May due to health issues. He was succeeded by Qurbon Tursunov, the former head of the Heat Supply Operation and Development Department at the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy, who has been appointed the new mayor of Bukhara.
