President to present state awards today

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will present state awards on the occasion of Uzbekistan's 34th Independence Day today, August 27, according to Sherzod Asadov, the President's press secretary.
It is is worth noting that on August 23, decrees were signed to award a group of deceased scientists and artists who made significant contributions to the development of science, literature, culture, and art, as well as a group of employees in science, education, healthcare, sports, literature, culture, arts, and mass media on the occasion of Uzbekistan’s 34th Independence Day. On August 24, a decree was signed to award military personnel and law enforcement officers. On August 25, a decree was signed to honor civil servants and employees in production and socio-economic sectors, all in celebration of the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.
Additionally, today the Head of State will inaugurate the construction of the new building of the Uzbekistan State Art Museum in Tashkent and will review the completed development works at the “Tashkent-East” international airport.
