The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will be in Dubai from November 30 to December 2 to participate in the United Nations Conference on Climate Change at the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This information was reported by the press service of the head of state.


Heads of states and governments from more than 150 countries, along with leading international organizations and financial institutions, will participate in the global climate summit. The agenda of the event includes the implementation of the main provisions of the UN Convention on Climate Change, the fight against today's environmental threats and risks, and the promotion of the goals and objectives of "green" development.


Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to deliver a speech at the plenary session of the summit and hold a number of bilateral meetings and negotiations. The Republic of Uzbekistan joined the UN Hadli Convention in 1993, and in 2018, it became a participant in the Paris Agreement.
