President Radev begins official visit to Uzbekistan with ceremony at Kuksaroy

On June 10, an official welcoming ceremony was held at the Kuksaroy residence for the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit. The event was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

State flags of Uzbekistan and Bulgaria were raised in the square in front of the residence, and a guard of honor was lined up for the occasion.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly welcomed the Bulgarian leader and invited him to the podium. The national anthems of both countries were performed, and to the accompaniment of a military orchestra, the two presidents reviewed the guard of honor and greeted members of their official delegations.

Following a joint photo session, the heads of state began talks with the participation of both countries' delegations.

During the negotiations, the presidents are expected to discuss the further development of mutually beneficial relations. Key areas of focus include increasing bilateral trade, establishing partnerships in the agro-industrial sector, pharmaceutical industry, and mining, as well as promoting cooperation in digitalization, tourism, and cultural and humanitarian exchange.

As part of his visit, President Rumen Radev will also take part in the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum.
