Drug traffickers detained in Andijan and Tashkent regions

Individuals who attempted to sell hashish and other drugs were detained in the Andijan and Tashkent regions. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

An urgent operation was carried out in cooperation with the Andijan Regional Department of Internal Affairs and other responsible agencies. During the inspection of a car driven by a person born in 1963, it was discovered that he was storing 728 grams of hashish for the purpose of selling.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code (illegal preparation, acquisition, storage, and other actions for the purpose of trafficking narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances, as well as their illegal trafficking), and investigative measures are ongoing.

Additionally, during an operation conducted in the city of Angren in the Tashkent region, a resident of Andijan region was detained with evidence while transporting 597 potent medications to the capital in his car.

The operation continued, leading to the detention of another individual born in 1993, who had been supplying the previously detained suspect. He was caught while attempting to sell 900 powerful medications for \$2,500.

A criminal case has been opened against the suspects under Article 251-1 of the Criminal Code (manufacturing, distributing, advertising, or demonstrating products promoting powerful medications that are not classified as narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances, or illegally introducing such substances or toxic substances into circulation), and investigations are underway.

It should be recalled that earlier, drug couriers transporting narcotic substances from Tashkent to Fergana were detained in the Tashkent region.
