Alisher Sultonov dismissed from post

By a decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Alisher Saidabbasovich Sultonov has been relieved of his position as the President’s Representative for Energy Security. Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov announced this.
Sultonov had held the post since July this year. Previously, from 2019 until April 2022, he served as Minister of Energy. He was born in 1967 and graduated from the A.F. Mozhaysky Military Engineering Institute.
From 1996 to 1998, Sultonov worked as a chief specialist overseeing the preparation and acceptance of equipment and facilities at the Directorate responsible for implementing the construction contract of the Bukhara Oil Refinery under the Uzneftqaytaishlash company.
Between 1998 and 1999, he served as a chief specialist during the construction of the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex. From 1999 to 2002, he headed the Shurtan Construction Directorate of Uzbekneftegaz.
From 2017 to 2019, Alisher Sultonov worked as a Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.
