Albanian President arrives in Uzbekistan

At the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Albania Bajram Begaj arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit, accompanied by his wife. UzA reported this.
The high-ranking guest was welcomed at Tashkent International Airport by Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Nuriddin Ismoilov and other officials.
According to the visit program, high-level talks in Tashkent will discuss prospects for further developing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Albania.
Special attention will be paid to expanding cooperation in priority areas such as trade, industrial cooperation, agriculture, green energy and tourism. The activation of cultural and humanitarian exchanges will also be considered.
The parties are also expected to exchange views on issues on the international agenda, including mutual support within multilateral platforms.
As part of the visit program, the President of Albania will also take part in the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum.
Earlier, it was reported that German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier would begin a five-day trip to Asia on June 15 and would visit Indonesia, the Philippines and Uzbekistan during the trip.
