A list of occupations restricted to persons under the age of 18 has been published

A list of heavy jobs prohibited for those under the age of 18 has been published in Uzbekistan.

This list is expected to be approved in accordance with the law “On Approving the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan” dated 28 October 2022.

It is prohibited to use the labor of minors in the following works:
 • in the construction of mountains, subways, tunnels and special underground structures;
 • in geological prospecting and topography and geodesy works;
 • in the metallurgical industry;
 • in production and transmission of heat and electricity (power industry);
 • in well, oil and gas extraction;
 • in the production of oil, gas, coal, petroleum oils and lubricants, working in main oil pipelines, gas pipelines and oil bases;
 • in chemical production;
 • in the petrochemical industry;
 • in microbial production;
 • in the production of medicines, medicine, bacterial and biological preparations and products;
 • in mechanical engineering and metal processing;
 • in the repair of aircraft, engines and their equipment;
 • in the electrical engineering industry;
 • production of radio equipment and electronics;
 • in the building materials industry;
 • in the production of ceramic products;
 • in the production of porcelain and earthenware;
 • in the production of glass and glass products;
 • in construction, assembly and repair-construction works;
 • in re-production of wood;
 • in the textile industry;
 • in light industry;
 • in the food industry;
 • in printing production;
 • general occupations of all types of transport;
 • in the production of art and jewelry, musical instruments;

In healthcare institutions, doctors-labor expertise, veterinary institutions, medical, scientific examination and educational institutions, bacterial and viral drug enterprises and pharmaceutical factories.
