From 15 July of the current year, new banknotes in the form of a banknote with a nominal value of 200,000 soms will be put into circulation in Uzbekistan.  This was reported by the Press Service under the Central Bank.

The theme of this banknote is dedicated to the "Great Silk Road" and the ancient history of the Fergana Valley in the country.

The size of the banknote is 152 x 69 mm.  On the right side of the banknote, there are watermarks in the form of a camel as a symbol of the ancient "Great Silk Road" on a light background and the number "200000".

On the right side of the banknote, a 4 mm wide blue, micro-optical, and machine-readable security thread with the "shift" effect and the inscription "UZB" is placed on the paper layer.

The main color of the front and back sides is turquoise, combined with other colors.

Banknotes are printed on protected paper, and the front and back sides are coated with special varnish.

On the left side of the front of the banknote, there is a picture of the architectural commemorative "XUDOYORXON O‘RDASI" (horde of Khudayarkhan) located in the city of Kokan, Fergana region.

The number "200000" is on the left side of the upper part, the text "CENTRAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN" is in blue and green in the center of the upper part, and the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Uzbekistan is in green in the upper right corner.

A special element of green color located on the right and left edges are intended for people with low vision and allow them to determine the value of the banknote due to the embossed nature of the paint.

In the lower part of the banknote, a "latent" (hidden) image is given in the form of "UZ" on the background of the patterned image, which has the characteristic of being visible at a certain angle to the light source.

On the left side of the lower part, there is the inscription "TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND SOUM" reflecting the value of the banknote and the text "THE UZBEKISTAN SOUM MUST BE ACCEPTED AT ITS VALUE FOR ALL PAYMENTS IN THE TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC".

The images above were made using the metallographic printing method, and you can feel the bump of the paint when you rub it with your fingertip.

Anti-copy rings of different diameters are located on the light background on the right side of the banknote, and when copied, the clarity of the images is lost.

Also, the word "UZB 200,000 SOM" is depicted in red on the green background of the ornament visible under ultraviolet light.

The map of Uzbekistan at the top shows the direction of the Great Silk Road caravan routes with light lines.

In the upper left part, the decorative image of the "XUDOYORXON O‘RDASI" architectural monument serves as a register and serves to align the "front" and "back" sides with each other. When focused on the light, the white part merges with the colored elements on the back of the banknote to form a complete image.

The number of the banknote consists of a series of two letters of the Latin alphabet and a seven-digit number, printed horizontally on the right side and vertically on the left side.

On the reverse side of the banknote is depicted the "ARCHEOLOGICAL MONUMENT OF AKHSIKENT", the capital of the ancient state of Ferghana, which dates back to the III century BC.

In the central part, a modern "Spark live" protective element is used in the "pomegranate" image as a symbol of the famous Quva pomegranate, which creates a color change and shifting effect at different angles.

The right part shows the findings of the archaeological monument in the Fergana Valley - a ceramic vessel dating back to the 2nd millennium BC and an image of an ancient stone amulet in the form of a two-headed snake.

In the upper left part, the text "CENTRAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN" and the year of issue of the banknote "2022" are printed.

In the lower-left and right corners of the banknote, the nominal value of the banknote "200,000" is written in one white line, and in the upper right corner the inscription "TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND SOUM" is written.

At the bottom, the text "COUNTERFEITING UZBEKISTAN SUM IS PROSECUTED ACCORDING TO THE LAW" is written as a warning.

According to the Central Bank, notes of 200,000 sums, along with banknotes and coins currently in circulation, are used for all types of payments by all economic entities and citizens at their value and must be accepted without any restrictions.
