“Real Madrid” enters the race for Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov

"Real Madrid" has expressed interest in Uzbekistan national team and French club "Lens" defender Abdukodir Khusanov, according to a report by Fichajes.

The Spanish giants are currently exploring multiple options to strengthen their central defense. As part of this effort, the club's chief scout, Juni Calafat, has been closely monitoring Khusanov's performances at Lens.

"Abdukodir has already demonstrated that he is one of the top players in his position in Europe. He is young and continues to improve every day. He deserves to play for the best clubs in Europe. Our relationship with Lens is very positive. We are aligned and will make the best decision for the player. If the transfer materializes, "Lens" will receive a fair reward for investing in this young talent," said Khusanov's agent, Gayrat Khasbiullin.

Previously, reports indicated that the English club "Manchester City" was leading the race to sign Khusanov.
