Yesterday, on April 26, the semi-final matches of the Asian Futsal Cup took place. Uzbekistan's national team gave their all against Iran in the final match but ultimately lost in a penalty shootout.
With the score tied 3-3 in regulation time, the referee initiated extra time, where neither team managed to change the scoreline. Iran clinched the victory in the futsal shootout with a score of 5-4, securing their spot in the finals.
In the championship match, Iran will face the tournament hosts, Thailand, while Uzbekistan, led by Jose Venancio Lopez, will compete against neighboring Tajikistan for third place.
Both the final and the third-place match are scheduled for April 28.
