Cooperation documents are signed between Uzbekistan and Egypt

As part of the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Arab Republic of Egypt, a document-signing ceremony was held at the conclusion of high-level negotiations. This was reported by the Press Service under the President’s Administration.

The heads of state adopted a joint statement aimed at expanding cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, and educational spheres.

A number of bilateral documents were signed in the presence of the presidents. The documents imply expanding the cooperation between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries, the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan and the General Directorate of Investments of Egypt, in areas such as plant quarantine and protection, organization of the public health system, investment attraction, and bilateral cooperation, investment relations, technical regulation, and exchange of experience in development issues.

In addition, memorandums of understanding were signed between the Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, the Institute of Oriental Studies of Uzbekistan named after Abu Raykhan Beruni, and the National Library and Archives of Egypt.
