According to forecasts from the Beijing Regional Center for Sand and Dust Storms of the World Meteorological Organization and Uzhydromet, short-term dust storm events may be observed in Tashkent today, June 27, ahead of the arrival of humid air masses. The Special Commission issued a warning on this matter.

According to forecasts, the weather will be variable throughout the day, with short-term rain and thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Wind speed may reach 3-8 m/s and strengthen to 10-12 m/s in some areas. Against the background of stronger winds, dust storms may occur in certain places.

As a result of these processes, the amount of dust particles in the atmosphere, especially PM10 concentrations, may increase for a short period. However, this situation is temporary, and the air is expected to gradually clear due to short-term precipitation forecast for the afternoon.

Experts recommend taking precautions during periods of stronger wind, especially for citizens with respiratory diseases, allergies and cardiovascular problems. People are advised not to stay outdoors for long periods unless necessary, to keep windows and doors closed, and to use masks whenever possible.

The state of the atmospheric air is currently under the control of the Special Commission and is being continuously monitored.
