Disability benefit and pension will be increased from April 1

From 1 April of the current year, Uzbekistan will increase the minimum amounts of disability benefits and pensions. This was stated in the decree of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On additional measures of support of persons with disabilities and needing social protection», signed on 17 February of this year.
According to the decree, from 1 April 2022:
- the minimum amount of disability benefit for disabled citizens and disability pension in case of incomplete length of service, taking into account the additional payment, will be increased from 440,000 soms to 622,000 soms;
- a monthly allowance (care allowance) of 500,000 som is paid to the legal representative of a child under 18 years of age with disabilities in the care of other persons in need of care.
Care allowance is allocated and paid by district (municipal) branches of the off-budget pension fund on the basis of an application to the Public Service Centers or the Unified Portal of Interactive State Services.
According to the decree, from 1 April 2022, information about the children in need of care, from 1 October 2022, information on the legal trustees of the children in need of care will be submitted electronically to the extra-budgetary Pension Fund.
