New heads appointed to the Academy of Public Policy and the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation

By presidential decree, new leadership has been appointed to two key institutions in Uzbekistan—the Academy of Public Policy and Administration and the "El-Yurt Umidi" Foundation for the Training of Promising Personnel. The appointments were announced by the Press Secretary of the President, Sherzod Asadov.

According to the decrees, Gulnoza Saidiganikhojaevna Ismoilova has been named Executive Director of the "El-Yurt Umidi" Foundation for the Training of Promising Personnel under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Jasur Shavkatovich Salikhov has been appointed as the Rector of the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Jasur Salikhov was born in 1976 in Tashkent and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. From 2014 until early 2023, he served as the Rector of the Singapore Institute of Management Development in Tashkent. Most recently, as of July 24, 2023, he held the post of Rector at the Central Asian University for the Study of Environment and Climate Change ("Green University") under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change.

Gulnoza Ismoilova previously served as Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

It is worth noting that on May 5, during a presidential presentation on the targeted training of promising personnel and the support of specialist education abroad, it was officially announced that the "El-Yurt Umidi" Foundation would be reorganized under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Likewise, the Academy of Public Administration has been restructured into the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President.
