From February 6-8 of this year, 188,000 students in Uzbekistan skipped classes without justification. This information was disclosed by Davron Jumanazarov, head of the National Guard's information service, during a briefing at the Information and Mass Communications Agency of Uzbekistan.

During February 6-8 of this year, collaborative investigations with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the National Guard revealed that 188,000 students were absent from classes without valid reasons.

Investigations are underway regarding cases of absenteeism claimed due to illness. In Kashkadarya region alone, 50 cases were found where students were not actually sick but skipped classes without justification. All students were returned to classes, and their parents faced administrative consequences. Similar incidents were reported across all regions of the country.

Consequently, 124,000 parents who failed to meet their educational responsibilities received official warnings, and around 4,000 of them faced administrative actions under Article 47 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

Davron Jumanazarov mentioned that between February 6 and March 7 of this year, 1,769,000 students were reintegrated into schools through the new system. Currently, attendance in the republic stands at 97.7%.

Moreover, during the past week, six instances of foreigners attempting to enter schools were reported across the country. In each case, legal actions, both criminal and administrative, were taken against the offenders according to the law.
