A video capturing students watching an obscene clip in their classroom has circulated widely on social media, prompting a response from the Department of Pre-School and School Education in the Syrdarya region.
The incident depicted in the video occurred at the 5th general education school in the Sardoba district.
“The employment contracts of the class head, school principal, and deputy directors responsible for educational and spiritual guidance were terminated. This action was taken because they allowed the situation to unfold by leaving the students unsupervised during their free time,” the department stated.
It's worth noting that in a separate incident in Tashkent, parents of students caught playing cards during class were also disciplined.
